Florence
The heart of renaissance art and a mecca for leather goods
The heart of renaissance art and a mecca for leather goods
In Florence you can see the massive Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, with Brunelleschi's Dome (on top and out of the site) and Giotto's bell Tower on the right of the picture.
Florence is also an excellent place to shop. The Ponte Vecchio seen in the picture above is a full of shops and stalls selling gold and leather goods. However if you're looking for the best prices especially on leather goods you can't beat the San Lorenzo market stalls. Just remember to haggle for the best prices!
You also don't want to miss David. But don't be fooled by the David you see outside. Thats not the real one. The real one is worth waiting to get inside the Accademia to see him. The real statue is much more impressive than the reproduction seen outside in the Vecchio square.
